What a joy! Darwin worked for me for over 10 years. His mottos of integrity, craftmanship and fair prices were part of his job. He remodeled so many of my properties but his crown was the addition to Roeder Travel. He built a lovely functional perfect place for us to work. As a friend, he was the best. He always came over with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. He loved the beach house in OC. Dawrin took his boat and a boatload of friends to the beach. He redid the beach house and made a shack into a 4 BR beach home. He loved his dog, his parrots, his friends and family. Kathy was the love of his life. Last Monday, I drove by his house. I needed to see his truck one last time. Darwin, thank you for being a great friend, a wonderful contractor and a force in my life. Fondly, Mimi

To the family and friends of Darwin Young: Darwin had an obvious love of animals and gardening. As a neighbor, sometimes it was impossible not to hear Darwin's pet parrots giving instructions to the cats in Darwin's voice. From our standpoint it was humorous listening to the parrots attempting to keep order when Darwin was not at home. Darwin obviously had a sense of humor that is likely to live on. On occasion, Darwin, who always kept his yard and garden meticulously, would pop his head over the fence and give encouragement to our gardening efforts. That might have been a questionable effort, as when one encourages the amateur, one never knows what will take root. Yet, on reflection, what stands out is that Darwin always gave cheerful encouragement to others. Our family wishes to forward sympathy to the family and friends of Darwin Young, for your loss. The strength and character of an individual lives on. Please know that Darwin was appreciated as a good neighbor. The Colegroves

We met Darwin about 8 years ago when he built our deck and did such good work that we just called him when we needed other projects done. He took pride in his work and was honest and he became a friend. We are truly sorry to hear of his passing and our prayers are with his family and friends.

Words can not expess how my family and i feel about Darwin's passing. We met him in 1997 when we wanted our living room redone. He was recommended to us and we never looked back. He basically rebulit our house section by section, always with good cheer and the utmost in professionalism. Darwin was a gold nugget in a field of rocks. He always made you feel important, never left you out of a conversation. My most fondest memories with Darwin were sitting out on his back patio, in the evening, having a beer, listening to the fountain flow, talking about life in general. Myself, Michelle and Kaitlyn will miss you greatly. Rest in peace buddy. We will all see you when our time comes. Thank you for all you have done for my family. Our deepest condolences to you Kat.

To Darwin's Loved Ones:
Pehaps they are not really stars in the sky; They're openigs in the heavens where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy, painful, and at peace.

Dear Kathy & Young Family
So often words seem inadequate to express how much we care. This is one of those times. I feel the pain and wish so much that I could be there for you. Losing someone you love is never easy, but I pray that the peace of God will fill your hearts in the days to come, and that He will help you through the difficult times.

Darwin will live on in everyone who knew him. He touched everyone he met in his own unique way. I admired him for his intelligence, advice he gave, humor, and his desire to have a good time. I feel blessed to have met and spent many, many occassions with him. Darwin, you will be deeply missed and never forgotten. I love and miss you already. May God bless and keep you. Rest in peace. To My Mom-(Kathy Wernig)- I love you more than words can ever express. I am here fully to support you while you mourn the loss of Darwin. I know how much you loved this man. I cannot explain why some have shorter lives than others and why your time with him was cut short, but it my wish that you treasure those memories. I know you will. May your faith in God give you the strength you need at this time.
To The Family- May God bless you and comfort you in this time of need. Your lives will never be the same without Darwin, but it is my wish for you all that time helps to heal some of your heartache.
