Im not sure where to start, I've known Alvin all my life and it is so sad to say goodbye.. he married Chuck and I May 3rd 1986, He has always been there for our family and he sat numerous hours with us when mom was dying, he and dad were like best friends going hunting together and I think they talked on the phone alot since my mom passed.. I know we all will miss Alvin but I know my dads heart is breaking without him.. My heart goes out to all the family as I know how hard it is to lose such a great parent and friend!

Dear Williams Family,
Fayette, Debbie, Tammy, Mark and Family,
Pastor Alvin Williams was a precious minister and servant of God who faithfully expounded the word of God and lived it out in his everyday life. In the early years Alvin’s testimonies impressed me greatly as a teenage age young lady and a newly converted Christian.
At some points Alvin labored in ministry with Rev Kemp Jones who eventually became my father-in-law. Kemp loved Alvin, his family and especially Fayetta’s father.
Although we failed to have much contact in recent years I know Alvin was forever so strong in his faith. He was known for his love and compassion for the lost and he reached out with much love to help all who crossed his path. I'll forever remember his bright smile, when he would greet you.
When I heard of his passing I thought about his arrival in heaven and the saints that would greet him there such as his father in-law, Bascum Hensley and my father-in-law Kemp Jones. Oh what a day of rejoicing that had to be. Just to think one day it will be our turn and then too it may not be long before the trump shall sound and those that remain shall be called up forever to be with the LORD.
Our prayers are with you, his family who remain and who rightly should be so proud of your Godly heritage through this precious saint of God. He shall be sorely missed.
When I think of those saints in heaven who are witnessing we who remain here on earth I am reminded of Hebrews 12: 1-2, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with such a cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weigh, and the sin which doth so easily beset us. And let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
In Christian Love,
Margaret Bennett and Walter Kemp Jones Jr. and Family

Dear Williams Family, I am the oldest daughter of Gerald and Vecie Williams who used to live in Dublin. I saw Bro Alvin's Obit notice on here because we just lost my youngest brother this week and when the Williams name popped up, I said, "Wow, That's Bro Alvin...I knew him." I had to say Hello to all of you from our Family. We know how to get to see him again....just live to please Jesus. I remember Him from a younger day, when his hair was black. Praise God for His care and keeping power thru all these years. God Bless, Wanda Williams Rowland, Palmer, ALaska

Fayetta and Family, We will always remember Alvin. He was my first pastor (Linda). We saw him grow in the Lord and he truly had a great desire to share Him with everyone. I remember sitting with you and the girls at church. I loved you all. Please know that our prayers and love are with you. We would love to see you again this side of heaven but if not we'll see you later.

YOUR WHOLE FAMILY ARE IN OUR PRAYERS. REVERAND ALVIN WAS A WONDERFUL MAN. AT MY MOM'S FUNERAL 7 YEARS AGO HE MADE A STATEMENT THAT HAS STUCK WITH ME THRU THE YEARS. HE SAID "DO NOT SAY GOODBYE SAY SEE YOU LATER". MY SON BILLY WAS 20 YEARS OLD THEN AND HE GREW UP WITH MY MOM CARING FOR HIM WHEN HE WAS VERY SMALL AND HE WAS CLOSE TO HER. WHEN WE WENT UP TO THE CASKET, HE SAID "MOM I CANNOT SAY GOODBYE TO MOM MOM, AND I SAID THEN SAY WHAT REVERAND ALVIN SAID AND HE SAID SEE YOU LATER MOM MOM.
HE WAS A GREAT MAN AND EVEN THOUGH I ONLY CAME TO YOUR CHURCH A FEW TIMES HE WAS A GOOD INFLUENCE.

Our hearts are very heavy at the passing of Bro. Alvin - not for him, because he has finally reached the reward he has strived for, for so many years. But our hearts are heavy for ourselves. With the passing of each of the dear old warriors of the Lord, we look around and our hearts are saddened because there are so few to try to fill the void. The Lord wants our very best, and that is truly what Bro. Alvin gave. God Bless each member of his family.

To all the Willliams family,
My prayers are with you all. I first met brother Alvin at Colchester Free Will Baptist Chuch in Fairfax Va. he preached a revival there. He really blessed my soul serval times after. Men like Brother Alvin, Riley Hensley. Joel Slemp, Amos Richardson, Wade and Ben Powers, Lester Horton, Mack Mullins, Paul Kirk, are the heroes in my life. Some are stilll here with us. But most have gone on to meet Jesus. Remember this one thing, if we stay true to Jesus we can go to heaven where they are. I believe that with all my heart I hope you do to. Please don't miss heaven. Love all the famiy Roger Powers

Heaven was blessed this past Sunday and we are forever left with a void. Alvin was a tremendous pastor and all around man of GOD. Words can not begin to describe the man, pastor, and friend Alvin was. You could always count on Alvin to call upon in times of need and troubles. Alvin was there through the sunshine and the rain. Alvin truly was a man of GOD. Our thoughts and prayers are with Fayetta, Debbie & Bobby, Tammy & Gerard, Mark & Chris and their families.

Paster,Friend,Comforter,Leader,Inpirer,He was many things, there will probably never be any one person more missed than Bro.Alvin.I don't know of any that met him that was not blessed by just knowing him.He holds a special part in my heart as he does many, I feel very blessed to have know he was the beginning of my personal life when he married my Mom @ Dad 55 yrs ago to just recently visited and preached the word to my husband(Mark)whom accepted God in his heart, though he has went home
he still remains here from all of his doings here on earth, God blessed this universe with Alvin Williams, and many are already home because of him and are on there way and many will still come to God through all he has left behind, his precious memories and love. God could not of gotten a more sweeter or deserving Angel, God just gave us another reason to make heaven our home.I bet Dad and Bro.Alvin are hanging right now.We love you all, and were praying that God will send you comfort in this very sad time. May God Bless You All!

My heart is so heavy since the passing of Alvin. He has been in the family for many, many years. Someone everyone respected and loved and knew that he was a man of God. No matter what problem anyone had he would pray for you or with you. He was a true blessing to everyone that knew him and everyone that came in contact with him.
I offer condolences to his wife, children, and grandchildren. One day you will be able to rejoice with him again in that city he has talked about so many times. Love and prayers to everyone.

I had the chance of meeting Alvin back in the summer of July 28,1977 in his Livingroom. That is the day my husband and I were married. He has been a part of our being to this day. And with all the people he knew throughout his life, he still alway's remembered who you were when he saw you. What a great inspiration to us all and one man who will be greatly missed.~ I do know when you sat in his church with his preaching you felt the presence of the Lord..~~ My condolences go out to his family. I know that he is now home where he always talked about going and rejoicing !!! Blessings to you all.

Williams Family,
Uncle Alvin will be missed but never forgotten.
I will never forget the years we lived and the times I visited after moving away. I loved spending time with all of you and so much enjoyed listening to Uncle Alive stories, and his preaching. He was a man that was God fearing and walked and talked it daily. I will remember him always. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
This summer was so special, for my kids to meet Uncle Alvin and all Mom's side of the family. He will be sorely missed.
Until we meet again, all my love

We knew Alvin because my aunt is married to his son. We have been to Maryland many times and every time we would go up there he always treated us like we were his family. He was such a spiritual man. He was like family to us and we miss him very much. He will be in our hearts forever. We love you and miss you Alvin.
